We're still alive!

We're currently at Watson Lake.

Leif's had me do some driving, sans drivers licence, to give his knee some relief. I'm not an experienced driver. I ran onto the shoulder a bit on a gravel road and the car ended up spinning around in a quick manner, but it turned out okay. Didn't run into anything and there wasn't any traffic, thankfully.

Liard Hot Springs was wonderful. But the long walk to and from the spring in sub-zero weather was kind of terrible.

According to our estimations, we should be in Tok at 11:00 Pm tomorrow night or so. It kind of sucks that we'll have to crash so close to home. Maybe we'll power through it. Dunno.


Hah, I totally wrote this last night, but fell asleep before posting it. I woke up and discovered several pages worth of spaces in the middle of didn't. Sleeping is weird.

We realized at Blaine, WA that we took a wrong turn, missing the road that would have bypassed Vancouver entirely. We compared the distance we would have to backtrack to the path we were on and determined that we'd just continue forward through Vancouver.

What a mistake.

We ended up stuck in a terrible traffic jam, to get through a tunnel, for fifty minutes, and then got lost like a million times.

But we made it.

We are in Hope, BC.

Leif and I are, at this very moment, leaving Seattle.

It's going to be a long drive. Our spirits are high. It's exciting to coming home!
